About Us

Dr. Eisenfeld received a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry as well as his Medical Degree at The University of Arizona. He spent an additional year in Tucson completing an internship in General Surgery and then completed a residency in Anesthesiology at The University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. An additional year of training was spent completing a fellowship in Pain Medicine to be eligible to receive a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Pain Medicine. In order to receive this additional certificate, one must be board certified in their primary specialty and have completed a one-year fellowship in a program recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (www.abms.org).

Dr. Eisenfeld returned to Arizona in 1995, where he was the first board certified, fellowship trained pain specialist in Scottsdale. In 2013, he founded V I P - Valley Integrated Pain. As a small practice based in Scottsdale, he is able to provide quality care under the direct supervision of a single physician. All consultations and care plans are performed by a board certified, fellowship trained pain physician. His practice consists of full-time acute and chronic pain medicine at Valley Integrated Pain with two offices in Scottsdale. VIP is primarily an outpatient-based practice, but Dr. Eisenfeld is one of the few physicians performing consultations and providing procedures on an inpatient basis for acute problems.
